BermudAir, a fairly new airline that is less than a year old and based in Bermuda now offers direct flights to Bermuda from Toronto and Halifax.
They’ve just launched service from Toronto and will begin service from Halifax this week in total offering seven routes connecting Bermuda, Canada, and the USA. This expansion extends year-round air service and capacity for residents and companies in Bermuda, while also providing convenient travel options to the island for inbound travelers.
BermudAir now operates direct service from Toronto three times a week: on Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday, with a flight time of two and a half hours.
Likewise direct flights from Halifax to Bermuda will be available once a week, starting this Saturday.
This is a welcome news for Canadian and Bermudian travelers and residents, as the only other direct option was Air Canada.
Based on a quick analysis of comparable airfare classes (handbag, one checked baggage and a free seat selection) AirBermuda’s prices are on average 30% lower than Air Canada’s.
